Body Wave / Natural Wave / Natural Wave (Silky) / Curly

This hair is ready to wear and is also very versatile. We will discuss how to wash, wet set, straighten and curl this hair.

Wet Set:

You will need:

· Large towel, turban style microfiber towel, t-shirt or large square hair net.

· Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

· Cream base leave-in curl definer.

· Liquid or curl gel.

· Hair polish.

· Denman brush or wide-tooth comb.

Care Instructions:

It is easiest to set this hair while in the shower. Please allow 30-45 minutes to achieve this look.

1. Comb out hair towards the back.

2. Wash hair with a moisturizing shampoo followed by a moisturizing conditioner. Use a wide-tooth comb to evenly distribute the conditioner. Let it set for five minutes. Rinse by allowing water to run through.

3. Once conditioner is rinsed, use a towel to absorb moisture. With your hair still damp, use your fingers to comb out tangles.

4. Add a quarter size amount of cream base curl definer. Use wide-tooth comb to evenly distribute.

5. Take a dime size amount of curl or liquid gel. Using your hands, evenly distribute on the ends of the hair followed by a dime-size amount of hair polish.

6. Scrunch curls from the bottom up in handfuls.

7. Take the towel or cloth and place it on your head and smooth it to the back of your head. Tuck or secure all the hair into the cloth and begin twisting the towel or cloth turban-style. Wind the towel or cloth into a Bantu knot. In order to avoid frizz and allow curls to set, use a ponytail holder to secure and wait 15 minutes. When time is up, remove towel and run fingers through hair to dry.

Do’s and Don’ts:

· If you don’t have any of the listed products, you can use the towel method and a leave-in conditioner. However, be sure to always comb out hair first. There is no need to submerge your whole head underwater, but the extensions must be completely wet for best results.

· We recommend using a daily moisturizing shampoo/conditioner.

· You can also wet set the hair before installing. Just take a towel, wrap it around the hair and twist to absorb the moisture. The hair can dry overnight by laying it flat or hanging it to dry.

Heat Set Curls for Natural Wave, Natural Wave (Silky), Body Wave:

1. If you are doing this after you have wet set the hair, wash hair with a purifying shampoo followed by a sulfate-free conditioner to remove any product buildup. Allow hair to air dry or blow dry.

2. If you are doing this process straight from the package, before installation, loosen the curl pattern by rinsing hair and allowing it to dry overnight.

3. Use your choice of ceramic curling irons to curl hair to desired style. Keep in mind that tighter curls will loosen while loose curls will wave.

4. Avoid heat damage to your hair by using hot dog rollers to set or maintain curls.

Heat Set Curls for Curly Hair:

1. Be sure hair is clean and product-free.

2. Make hair damp by using water from a spray bottle.

3. Use a brush and blow dryer to loosen the curl pattern.

4. Once dry, section hair and curl with a ceramic curling iron of your choice.

Do’s and Don’ts:

· If you wrap your hair at night, your curls will remain intact. If curls happen to feel tight, loosen them up by applying a small amount of hair polish throughout the hair.

· This hair naturally holds curls. Therefore, when setting a heat curl, do not use alcohol-based products or oils.

· Products we favor for heat setting curls include purifying shampoo, sulfate-free conditioner, hair polish, ceramic iron and hot dog rollers.

Flat Iron Hair:

· Curly Hair: It is important that hair is clean and product-free. Wet curly hair with a spray bottle, then use a brush to blow-dry hair straight. Flat iron and style as usual.

· Body Wave: Hair should be clean and dry. Section hair and flat iron. Do not use any product and style as usual.

· Natural Wave & Natural Wave (Silky): Hair must be clean, dry and product-free. Section hair and flat iron. Style as usual.

Do’s and Don’ts:

· We understand that each client will have their own preference in products. We only suggest products as a guideline. We have found the proposed products work because we have tried them. Feel free to create your own regime, but try our way first then make added changes.
